Age 33, died unexpectedly Monday, January 3, 1994. He was born June 14, 1960 in Kaukauna, the son of Victor and Loretta [Van Dera] Nackers. Mike was a gradate of Kaukauna High School with the Class of 1979. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, carpenter and enjoyed the outdoors. Mike was previously employed at Ludwig Furniture Inc. as a warehouse manager. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Besides his parents he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mary Van Dera, Little Chute; two sons, Ryan Michael Nackers and Joshua Donald Nackers, both of Kaukauna; four brothers and three sisters in-law, Dale Nackers and fiancee, Linda Oehlke, Appleton; Roy and Ann Nackers, Appleton; James and Joan Nackers, Combined Locks; Mark and Pat Nackers, Appleton; four sisters and three brothers in-law, Karen and Bill Jackels, Black Creek; Lois Ludwig, Oshkosh; Lisa and Dave Rupiper, Appleton; Vicky and Marty Vanderloop, Kimberly; 21 nieces and nephews; godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Schmidt, Combined Locks; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Nackers in 1983; and a brother in-law, Joseph Ludwig in 1990; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nackers; and his maternal grandfather, William Van Dera.
The funeral services will be 12 noon on Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 9:30 a.m on Thursday until the cortege leaves for the church. A memorial fund has been established.
