    • William Henry Greening passed away on June 5. He was born at Chilton, Wis., August 5, 1854, his family being one of the pioneer settlers of Calumet county. Mr. Greening grew to manhood, however, in Fond du Lac.

      On November 30, 1882, he was married to Jane Lamb of Byron, Wis. They resided on a farm in Lamertine township, Fond du Lac. Here their children were born. In 1902 the family moved to Chippewa county, residing on a farm known as the Bradley farm in the town of Wheaton, later moving to Chippewa Falls.

      His wife, Jane, died October 1, 1938. Two children, Raymond and an infant daughter, Hester, preceded him in death.

      Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Mary Van Dusen, Neenah, Wis.; Mrs. Albert Pevan (Irene) of this city and three sons, Philip of Lafayette, Frank of Rochester, Minn., and William of Minneapolis, Minn. A niece, Mrs. William Pfrang of Neenah, also survives.

      Funeral services will be held at Holy Ghost church Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock. The remains will lie in state at the LaFrania Funeral Home from Thursday noon until the hour of the funeral. The rosary will be recited at 8:00 p. m. Thursday at the LaFrania Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hope cemetery.
