      Fred Bergelin

      Furneral services were hold Thursday at the Knutson Funeral Home in Denmark for Fred Bergelin, 78 Denmark, father of Gerhart Bergelin 1212 Jefferson St.

      Mr. Bergelin died Monday at a Green Bay hospital. He had been in ill health for two years.

      He was born Jan. 25, 1884 in Shawano. His parents died when he was a boy and he was adopted in 1893 by John Bergelin.

      On Nov. 10 1906, he was married to the former Ernestine Kitzerow, and they lived in the town of Franklin (Kewaunee County) until miving to Denmark 40 years ago.

      Mr. Bergelin was a retired farmer.

      He is survived by his wife; two sons, Orvill, Green Bay, and Berhart; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Lorberblatt and Mrs. Edward Siebold, Green Bay, and Mrs. Louis Schaetz, DePere; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

      Three brothers and three daughters preceded him in death.

      Attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Gerhart Bergelin and two daughters.

      Burial took place in the Zanders Cemetery in the Town of Gibson, near Denmark.
