- Anita Van Vonderen, 85, of De Pere, passed away at home on Sunday evening, March 23, 2014 ,surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Avery and Eva (Findley) Alexander was born on October 22, 1928 in Winston-Salem, NC. She married Earl Van Vonderen on February 4, 1946 at St. Patrick Rectory in Washington, DC. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2000.
Anita was a loving wife and grandma who devoted her life to her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for each of them. Her generous spirit also extended to her friends and neighbors. Over the years she helped many people through illnesses and difficult times with her love and care. She will be missed everyday.
Survivors include her children, Bonnie and David Hall, Larry Van Vonderen, Karen Bain, Teri and Jan Meyer, Debbie and Keith Van Gheem, Nancy and Mike Murphy, Pat and Lori Van Vonderen, Jackie and Doug Hanus, thirty five grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Helen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Bill and Gary
The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Heartland Hospice for their care and support. A special thank you to Krystal Clark. We will forever be grateful for her kindness and compassion during this journey.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will be held on Monday at Allouez Mausoleum. We have begun a new chapter in our lives which will never be the same without Mom, but she will always be with us. Nothing on earth can separate us. Not time, not space, not even death.
