    • Neenah - Rose Marie Pelky Wollerman, 92, Neenah, passed away on Thursday, October 25, from complications of congestive heart failure. Thanks to the loving care of her daughters she was able to remain in her home until her passing.

      She was born April 28, 1926, in New London, WI. The daughter of Louis and Rose Pelky. Rose graduated from Washington High School in New London in 1944. Rose married Vern Wollerman on Nov. 27, 1946 in New London. Rose was proud of being a graduate of "The Cradle" School of Nursing and shared many stories of the good work they did there. After she married Vern and moved to Neenah, Rose worked in the nursery at Theda Clark for Dr. Gaylord Anderson and Dr. Frank Pansch.

      Rose was very fond of youth and their activities and showed this with her volunteer work in Scouting. She served both the Boy Scouts, starting as a Den Mother and ending as Association Chairperson of the Neenah Girl Scouts. Rose also volunteered her time as chairperson of the Youth Program for the Neenah Red Cross and also as a leader at the Neenah Brigade.

      Rose founded the Neenah Police Wives organization, complementing the work of her husband who was the Neenah Police Chief.

      Rose had a love for the water. She was a life guard at the New London pool during high school. Rose carried that love over to her membership at the Neenah/Menasha YMCA pool and swimming across Chain Lake at their cottage in Lakewood.

      Rose was a devout Catholic, being a long time member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah and belonged to the Christian Mothers.

      Rose is survived by three sons; Jim (Chris) of Allenville, Tom (Jean) of Neenah, Dan (Will) of Albuquerque, NM; Two daughters, Kathy (Frank) Jahnke of Neenah, Patty of Menasha and a daughter in law, Sharon of Neenah; Ten grandchildren, Melissa (Rob) of Appleton, Tricia of Oconomowoc, Heather of Charlotte NC, Eric (Kellie) of Phoenix AZ, Heidi (Erik) of Larsen:, Nick of Milwaukee, Claire of Green Bay, Jared (Maddie) of Neenah, Olivia of Neenah, Grant, Logan, Dylan of Albuquerque NM; Ten great-grandchildren; Emma and Abby Russell, Kaden, Rylan and Everly Wollerman, Oliver, Aubrey and Jacob Salm, Alec and Taylor Ernst.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Vern, a son David, brothers Tony and Earl, sisters Pearl and Hildegard.

      The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 660 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the hour of Mass. Interment will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Rose's name.
