- Marvin L. Guyette, age 53, New London died unexpectedly, surrounded by his family at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on March 7, 1961, son of Harland and Edna (Eagan) Guyette. He attended New London High School. Marv was working at Steel King since 1989. He enjoyed driving his Mustang and snowmobiling, spending time with his children and grandchildren, listening to music, watching football, especially the Packers, cooking chili on Sundays, gardening and growing gigantic tomatoes. Marv will be remembered for his great laugh and generosity.
He is survived by his parents, Harland and Edna, special friend, Patty Wingate and her son, Lucas Wingate; daughters, Heather (Jared) Davis; Crystal Guyette (special friend, Robert Lawrence), Tabitha Lebeau; grandchildren, Piper Davis; Bailey, Collin and Kristina Lawrence; and Kyla Meier. Brothers and sisters: Larry (Brenda) Guyette; Michael (Alice) Guyette; Ken Guyette; Jody (Kathi) Guyette; Dorie (Gary) Konetzke and Lorie (Todd) Guyes; special brother-in-laws, Mike Koslowski and Dave Burton and sister-in-law, Linda Guyette. He is further survived by the mother of his children Janet Burton and her parents Don & Margie Burton, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, aunts and a cousin Theresa Marg.
Funeral services for Marv will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Mary Vanevenhoven officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the First Responders, New London Hospital, Appleton Medical Center ICU staff and the Flight for Life crew.
