- Naples, FL - Allan James Schuh resident of Naples, Florida, formerly of Pulaski, died October 30, 2018. He was born November 27, 1939 to Nicholas and Anna Schuh. Allan grew up in Manitowoc, one of eight siblings. He attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, then went onto graduate with teaching and accounting degrees from UW Madison. He met Arlene Sowell while working in Milwaukee as an accountant. They were married and had 2 children, Michael and Diane. They were divorced after 12 years of marriage. Allan briefly taught high school in Crivitz. He spent 26 years teaching History classes at the Pulaski High School. At 53, he retired and spent his time travelling and fishing. Allan met Patricia Stein while vacationing in Florida, and the pair were married. They were married for 20 years up until Allan's death.
Allan loved to fish, play cards, attend sporting events, and travel. Later in life, he enjoyed playing horseshoes in the Florida sun.
Allan is survived by his 2 children, Dr. Michael James Schuh (Mindy) of Denmark, Wisconsin and Diane Marie Walker (Paul) of Montello, Wisconsin. Allan had five grandchildren, Grace, Madilynn, and Dlanie Schuh; Brooke and Marshall Walker. Allan was predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings.
Allan will be deeply missed for his quiet demeanor and his keen intellect. He loved to see his grandchildren grow up. Although Allan had end stage Alzheimers disease, and he may have been forgetful, his family and friends will never forget the memories they had with him.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held at Michael and Mindy Schuh's home on November 25th from 1 - 4 pm for family and friends to reflect on Allan's life. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to 715-240-9745.
