Killian, Francis Paul "Frank"
Frank was 83 years old, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008, at his home, in Neenah, with his family by his side. He was born on Dec. 4, 1924, in Kaukauna, to the late Louis and Augusta (Schmitz) Killian. He was employed by Beloit Manhattan as a Roll Maker for 32 years, until his retirement on July 29, 1988. Frank was united in marriage to Elaine DeBruin on Feb. 4, 1948, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. He enjoyed being an active member of the Y.M.C.A., playing golf and traveling. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank was an avid Packers Fan. He was an Army Engineer, having served in World War II in the Phillipines.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine (DeBruin); two sons, Mike (Linda) Killian, Michigan; Pat (Sue) Killian, Niagara; two daughters, Ginny (Dewey) Lashua, Neenah; Sue (Craig) Kuske, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles (Barbara) Killian, Florida; Thomas (Dawn) Killian, Kaukauna; Daniel (Judy) Killian, Kaukauna; three sisters, Joan (Peter) Gaigg, Greenville; Virgil Meulemans, Kaukauna; Mildred Gokey, California; numerous nieces and nephews. Frank is further survived by a special family friend, Joan Jenkins.
Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Killian; three sisters, Esther Killian, Lorraine (Clayton) VanAsten and Carol (Richard) School; brothers-in-law, Joseph Gokey and Vernon Meulemans; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Lashua.
Funeral Services for Frank will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Father Paul Radetski and Deacon Orville DeBruin concelebrating. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday evening, May 27, 2008, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, with a 6 p.m. prayer service, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, and again at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of the service.
