- Norbert F. Dietzen, Kaukauna, age 88, died peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2014. He was born April 5, 1925 in Darboy, son of the late Philip and Stella (Schreiber) Dietzen. Norbert attended Holy Angels School in Darboy and had been a member of Holy Angels Church, Darboy. At the time of his death he was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Norbert married Patricia Appleton on October 15, 1953; she preceded him in death in October 1967. He then married Dorothy Gerig Stoffel on March 22, 1969. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm in the Darboy area until retiring in the 1980's. Norbert was active in church activities most of his life at Holy Angels. He was an altar boy, usher for 55 years, usher scheduler and director for 25 years and also active in other parish activities.
Besides his wife, Dorothy he is survived by his 5 children: Dorothy (Mark) Standaert, Phyllis (Joe) Sprangers, Ben (Lori) Dietzen, Barbara (Brian) Smith and Sarah (Gary) Van Wychen; a step-son, Roger (Nancy) Stoffel; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 4 sisters: Theresa Glasnap, Mary Berken, Lorraine Schueres, and Delia Syring; nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bernard; 2 step-sons: Jerome and Steven Stoffel.
Mass of Christian Burial for Norbert will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 10, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna. Friends will be received at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. Burial will take place in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.
