    • MADISON-Dorothy Mae Wachtendonk, age 91, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Nov. 11, 1921, in Kimberly, the second of five daughters to Philip and Angeline (Pagogne) Brum. She married William Wachtendonk on April 2, 1945. Dorothy was actively involved in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milton. She was a self taught artist, enjoyed being a long time member of the Blue Notes senior choir and was actively involved in The Gathering Place in Milton. She also enjoyed the company of her coffee groups and St. Monica Circle get-togethers. Dorothy especially liked to be the designated driver for others; she appreciated all of her friendships and helping others any way she could.

      Dorothy is survived by her children, Dan (Yvonne) of Fort Myers, Fla.; Bill (Chris) of Neillsville, Jim (Sukie) of Richland Center; Alan (Wendi) of Green Bay; John "Jack" (Dawn) of Fitchburg; Donna (Scot) of Sun Prairie; and Robert (Karyn) of North Bend, Wash.; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; daughter, Lisa; grandson, Zachary; and sisters, Evelyn, Elsie, Charlotte, and Mayme.

      A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 837 Parkview Dr., Milton, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, with Monsignor Jim Uppena presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Saturday. The Gunderson Funeral Home of Monona is assisting the family. The family is very grateful to Dr. Kim at Mercy Hospital in Janesville and Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg for the loving care and attention shown to Mom in her final days.
