- Sister M. Romana of St. Josephs Convent in Campbellsport, who recently celebrated her 71st year in the sisterhood, died Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Halbach at Marytown while on a visit. She was 85.
Sister Romana was in the convent 74 years, having entered in 1894, but she was not received into the order until more than three years later when she was 15 years old. She spent the first four years in Wisconsin, then 23 in Missouri, 13 in Iowa and the remainder in Wisconsin. She had been at St. Josephs Convent for the past 16 years.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Stephany of Fond du Lac and four brothers, Vincent of Marytown. John of Fond du Lac, Paul of St. Anna and Henry of New Holstein. Seven brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
