- Appleton - Daniel J. Albrecht, 51, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 25, 1966, in Appleton, the son of Charles and DonnaMae (Christen) Albrecht. Dan enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, watching movies and the Green Bay Packers, martial arts, and listening to music. He loved his work in the kitchen at Touchmark Assisted Living facility. Daniel faced many challenges throughout his life but he fought through them all without a complaint.
Daniel is survived by his 4 siblings: Charles (Jo Ellen) Albrecht, David (Linda) Albrecht, Debra Albrecht, and Glenn Albrecht; nieces and nephew: Amy (Anthony) Bruns, Jennifer Albrecht, and Allen (Amber) Albrecht; numerous cousins, and other close relatives.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2017, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established.
Daniels family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of ThedaCare Medical Center, Appleton, and the staff of ThedaCare Cancer Center, Appleton for their wonderful care and compassion.
