- Obit De Pere Journal Democrat - 9-17-1987 Elzear F. Klister, 79, 446 Main St. died Tuesday afternoon at a Green Bay hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1907 in Wrightstown, a son of the late John and Henrietta Vande Hey Klis ter. He married the former Matilda Van Eperen at Holy Cross Catholic church in Kaukauna Jun e 5, 1933. Mr. Klister lived in the village of Wrightstown his entire life and managed the Fo x River Dairy for a number of years. The last 25 years he worked for the Galloway company a s an inspector with the Chicago Board of Health, retiring in 1979. He was active in the Holy Name Society, St. Paul church and the men 's choir. He was also a m ember of the Kaukauna Knights of Columbus Council 1033 and for over 40 years served as presid ent of Branch 97 of the Catholic Knights society. Survivors are his wife; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Floyd and Jeanne, Paul and Bett y all of Wrightstown; Msgr. Roy Klister of Green Bay, one daughter and son in law Myrna and G ary Ebert of Wrightstown; one brother and sister -in - law Cyril and Martha Klister of Kaukau na, six sisters and two brothers- in - law, Minnie West of Milwaukee, Ceil Lamers of Theresa , Agnes Southworth of Owen, Mary Klister of Appleton, Evelyn and Alois Jansen of Little Chute , Helen and Lyle Lamers of De Pere; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and four s ister-in-law, Kate of Wrightstown, Sue of Waupaca, Rose of Appleton and Catherine of De Pere . He was preceded in death by five brothers, Martin, Herman, Jacob, Ray, and Earl and one sis ter Marcella Welhouse. Friends may call at De Wane-Zoromski Funeral home after 4 o'clock this afternoon. A prayer se rvice will be held at 7 o'clock and the K-C rosary will be said at 8 o'clock. Friends may Cal l Friday at St. Paul Catholic church from 3:30 p.m. until the funeral services which will b e held at 5 o'clock. Msgr. Roy Klister will officiate and the Rev. Richard Shafer will give t he homily. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
