- Shawano - Thomas E. (Tom) Stuyvenberg, age 62, died October 10th, following a brain aneurysm after a years-long struggle with dementia. Tom valued the time spent with his faithful companion and caregiver, Bill Wilson, as well as the beloved pets he and Bill cared for: Lady, Molly, and Devin. Tom enjoyed the simple pleasures of the rustic property he and Bill shared, like feeding the deer and birds that lived on the land.
Tom was known for his warm, good-humored presence. He loved to chat with friends and strangers alike. Before his illness, Tom played darts, shot pool, and occasionally enjoyed a cold "Old Style". During his life, Tom owned a variety of cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles and other vehicles, and could expound in detail about each of these. Tom lived much of his life in Kimberly, where he worked at the Kimberly mill, until its closure in 2008.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and June, an older brother, Daniel, his nephew, Tim Ebben, and Grandparents John C. and Elizabeth Hietpas, and Henry N. and Elizabeth Stuyvenberg.
Tom is survived by a sister, Barbara (Brady) Brown, Hamilton, Ohio, and brothers: Lee (Cathie), Green Bay, Tim (Patricia), Scottsdale, AZ, and John (Mary Svitavsky), Menasha.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Dan (Debby) Ebben, Fairfield, OH; Andrew (Daphne Pee) Stuyvenberg, Silver Spring, MD; Matt (Stephanie) Stuyvenberg, Menomonee Falls; Katie Stuyvenberg, Scottsdale, AZ; Sarah (Dennis Zaug) Stuyvenberg, Neenah; Aaron (Upasan Arvindam) Stuyvenberg, Minneapolis, MN; and Luke Stuyvenberg, Santa Clara, CA.
In addition, Tom is survived by grand nieces and nephews: Eleanor & Walter Ebben, Ada & Ian Stuyvenberg, and Macklin & Franklin Stuyvenberg.
Tom is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tom's family wishes to extend a special thanks to Tom's neighbor and friend, Carol, who often took Tom to purchase M&Ms, and his favorite chips and treats that he relished.

A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Thursday, November 1st, at Sepia Chapel in Green Bay, 3562 Finger Rd., from 10:30 - 2 p.m. A brief service will start at 11:15, followed by lunch at the chapel.
