      On May 25, 1943, the three were crowned with military honor by the Germans and buried as unknown or unidentified in the pastoral garden next to the r.-k. St. Peter's Church in Uden (the graves 108 to 110). They were the last to be buried in this temporary cemetery.
      They were reburied on July 10, 1946 by the 55 Graves Concentration Unit (GCU) of the British Army at the (now) British war cemetery Uden, the graves resp. 4.F.13, 4.F.12 and 4.F.11.
      Austin and Herbert were still identified after the reburial.
      Costello was according to the communication dd. 26-04-1944 of the Stabsoffizier WVW beim Wehrmachts-befehlshabab in the Niederlanden to the mayor of Uden still registered as known. After his death, he was promoted posthumously from Sergeant to Warrant Officer II
