- Robert C. Cravillion, age 87, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord Jesus on March 21, 2016 at Elder Lodge, Neenah. He was born in Fond du Lac on October 16, 1928 to the late David and Nathalie (Flaherty) Cravillion. He graduated high school, and then served his country in the Army National Guard. On September 3, 1949, he married Sylvia Guse, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2004. Bob began his career path at Waupun State Prison, as a guard, he then became a State Trooper for the state of Wisconsin, and finally, he worked for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue until his retirement in 1989. Bob had a green thumb; he enjoyed gardening but also, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and playing cards. He especially enjoyed caring for his family, he was a gentle giant, and will be remembered for the stories he read to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children; Susan Vandertie, Pam (Cal) Behnke, Mary Jo (Jim) Ehrhardt, Joanne (Terry) VandenHeuvel, Laurie (Dave) Seebruch and Steve (Darlene) Cravillion, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his two sisters; JaLaine (Jim) Karl and Diane Robison, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sylvia and brother in law, Bruce Robison. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W Marquette St. Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of service at the church.

Thank you to the staff at Elder Lodge and the Hospice nurses for the loving care given to Robert.
