- Plamann, Paul L.
Paul Plamann, 87, Appleton, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Brewster Village in Appleton. He was born January 5, 1929, a son of the late Les and Leona (Krueger) Plamann. On July 30, 1949 he was united in marriage to Mary Moser. Paul was a member of St. Thomas More Parish.
Paul was a dedicated husband and father; leveraging his handyman skills he built a house and a home to raise the family. His mechanical knowledge, gained from working in his father's garage served him well for maintaining vehicles and small engines. Paul retired from Thilmany after 38 years, where he had many friends in which he stayed in contact. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. Paul and Mary liked going to the cottage in Suamico, boating, snowmobiling and relaxing in the company of many friends. The P&M Fun Club activities were always something they looked forward to and have many wonderful memories. Their trips to the condo in Mississippi with Dewitts were always a highlight. Paul enjoyed going to sporting events where the family was playing, helping build or fix almost anything, Polkas and dancing, hiding Easter eggs and watching the kids search.
Paul is survived by his wife Mary; children: Ron Plamann, Dan (Gail) Plamann, Carl (Tammy) Plamann, Steve (Tani) Plamann; grandchildren: Alissa (Mark) Roe, Nick (Beth) Plamann, Cole Plamann, Dillon (engaged to Ali Brandt) Plamann, Hunter Plamann, Heather (Levi) Gibler; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Richard Plamann and Roger (Judy) Plamann; sisters-in-law Jen Voster, Rosie Moser, Deloris Moser. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth Plamann; sisters in law: Joyce Plamann, Myrtle Van DerHay, Lucile Moser; brothers in law: Don Van DerHay, Merve Weynberg, Bill Moser, Ralph Moser, Loyd Moser, Ernie Voster.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at St. Thomas More 1810 N McDonald Street, Appleton, with the Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Paul's family will receive relatives and friends at Valley Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. The visitation will continue on Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
