    • PEMBINE, Wis. - Douglas E. Brem, 43, of Pembine, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011.

      He was born in Kaukauna, Wis., on May 3, 1968, son of Stephen Brem and Mary "Rockey" Nushart. Doug loved to hunt and fish with his dad. He enjoyed life, he was a hard worker and he would do anything for anybody. Doug will be sorely missed.

      Doug is survived by his mother and dad, Mary and Richard Nushart; brother and sister and their spouses, Steve (Trudy Krueger) Brem and Kelly (Garrett) Geib; nephews, Justin and Corey Schadrie; stepmother, Ellie Wilda; and numerous extended family and friends.

      He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen; brother, Craig Brem; paternal grandparents, Stephen and Leone Brem; and maternal grandparents, Francis and Frank Femal and Clarence Rockey.

      Funeral services for Doug will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at Grace Lutheran Church in Pembine with Pastor Gene Wickman officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna.

      Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. until the time of the service today at church.

      Doug's family wishes to send a special thank you to a dear friend who has always been there for him, Amber Schwittay and her children Bear Schwittay, Eva Anderson, and George Johnson, and last but not least, Roxy, the best dog ever.
