    • Gladys E. Butnick, 90, a Green Bay resident, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 30, 2004, at an area nursing home. Gladys was born August 6, 1914, in Green Bay, the daughter of the late John and Jenny (Van Pee) Adrians. She married Harold Butnick on September 25, 1934, at Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

      Gladys loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She shared her crocheted coat hangers with many people and was well known for that talent. Gladys had a passion for gardening and she passed that passion on to her family. She was loved by all who met her and will be sadly missed.

      Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Joanne (Wesley) Rathburn and Vonnie (Tom) Baye, all of Green Bay, and Adrienne DeMinor, Tucson, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, Randy (Yvonne) Rathburn, Jude Rathburn, Joe Rathburn, Jim (Joyce) Rathburn, John Rathburn, Mary (Roger) Brunner, Tim Baye, Meg (Tom) Ball, Peter (SueEllen) Baye, Anne (Paul) Ericksen, Jeff DeMinor and Todd DeMinor; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

      Besides her husband, Harold, and her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanore Hazaert; one brother, Robert Adrians; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

      Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home & Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday, October 3, 2004, from 4 - 8 p.m. There will be a parish wake service 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. David Pleier officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Bay Settlement.
