- Mrs. Leo Vandenberg (Marion DeGoey) Route 2, Crivitz
Age 64, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 1, 1991, at home. She was born Jan. 30, 1927, in Combined Locks, the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Peters) Degoey. She had lived in this area all her life until 1988, when upon retirement, she moved to Crivitz. She had been secretary at Vandenberg Electric Co, for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Lakes at Crooked Lake and had been a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks for many years. Survivers include her husband of 45 years, Leo, eight sons: Jerry and Linda, Lyle and Karen; all of Combined Locks; Ron and Jean, Freedom; Vern, Kaukauna; Roy and Pauline, Appleton, Carl, Denny and Amy, all of Phoenix; Leo and Sharon, Lake Zurich, Ill; three daughters: Janice and Tim Dey, Phoenix; Carol and William Haas and Shirley and Al Behling, all of Appleton; 12 grandsons and 13 granddaughters; a brother bill and LeAnn DeGoey, Combined Locks; five sisters: Betty Keller, Manitowoc; Sylvia and Bob Bird, Elverta, Calif., Angie and Eugene Stoney Vandersteen, Kaukauna; Eleanor and Donald Vandenberg, Freedom; Carol Burmeister, Milwaukee; two stepbrothers: John Wirth, Kimberly; Alvin (Donna) Pennings, Combined Locks; a stepsister: JoAnn Jansen, Kaukauna, and step sister-in-law, Mary Schommer, also Kaukauna. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, with theRev. Robert Vandenberg officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, 204 E Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayers service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
