    • Allen, Marlene Kay

      Marlene Allen, 80, of Little Chute, passed away unexpectedly, April 12, 2016 at her home following a heart attack. Marlene was born January 5, 1936, in Mattoon, Wisconsin, daughter of Charles and Doris (Clauss) Allen. Marlene was employed at Pacon Corporation for over 20 years.

      Marlene enjoyed her retirement by going to Florida in the winters, roller blading, trikkeing, going to the dog park with Oliver, reading and photography. She was a true nature lover, taking long walks with Oliver at Heesakker Park; also she was a passionate gardener and landscaper. Marlene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

      Marlene is survived by her daughter, Vickie Pynenberg, her sons: Jeff Vande Burgt and Jay (Kim) Vande Burgt; special friend, Wayne Robinson; her special companion Oliver (dog); grandchildren: Jason (Cora) Pynenberg and Stacey Pynenberg, Brian Henry, Brandon Shulfer, Nick (Heather), Dave and Laura Vande Burgt; great grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordon and Josh Pynenberg, Christopher Vande Burgt, David Henry.

      Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris (Clauss) Allen; sisters: Susan Anne (Allen) Klassen and Nile Allen; son-in-law, Joe Pynenberg; Virgil Vande Burgt, two grandsons: Cory Pynenberg and Thomas Vande Burgt; granddaughter, Deanna Henry.

      Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
