- Philip Thomas Berce of Franksville, Wis., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 1, 2015, unexpectedly at the age of 58. He was born on Sept. 2, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Eugene and Mary (Mullen) Berce. A graduate of Marquette University High School and UW-Madison School of Pharmacy, he devoted his career to serving the community as a pharmacist and owner of Good Value Pharmacy in Kenosha, Wis. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon (Viets) Berce, on June 10, 1983, and they shared 32 years of marriage.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife, parents, and five children, Jacob (Jenelle), Alex (Kristin), Gina (John), Philip, and Christa. He is further survived by five siblings, Linda (Micky), Daniel (Annie), Mary (Mark), Matthew (Ramona), Paul (Nancy) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Steve (Sue) and Peter.
Phil loved spending time with his family and friends; playing golf, tennis, and games; and working outdoors. He showed his compassion, generosity, and love for others in the care of his pharmacy staff, customers, parents, and mother-in-law, Norma Viets. He was a caring father and cherished his wife deeply. Phil entrusted his life to Jesus and passionately shared the good news of salvation.
Family, friends, and others whose lives were impacted by Phil are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Racine Bible Church (12505 Spring St, Sturtevant, WI 53177). Visitation with the family will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service.
