    • John Fritschka, 47, of 244 E. Main St., Chilton died Friday at University Hospital, Madison. He had been ill the past year.
      Funeral services will be Monday at Pfeffer Funeral home Chilton and at St. Mary Catholic church, Chilton, the Rev. Henry J. Schmitt celebrant of the requiem Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

      Mr. Fitschka was born Sept. 2, 1916, at Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Fritschka of Milwaukee. He was educated at Story Public School, Milwaukee. He married the former Catherine Salm April 3, 1937, at St. Rose Catholic church, Milwaukee. He had been a tavernkeeper at Chilton the past three years, holding various jobs prior to that time.

      Surviving are his wife, four sons, John Jr., Dennis and Paul; five daughters, Marcia, Sherry Ann and Kay at home. Miss Diane Fritschka of Manitowoc, and Miss Bonnie Fritschka of Green Bay; a brother, Ronald Fritschka of La Jolla, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Schlindwein of Milwaukee and Mrs. Elizabeth Witz of Menomonee Falls.
