      PORTSMOUTH - Bella Robbins Robertson, 90, died surrounded by her family Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at the Clipper Harbor Home.

      Born Dec. 9, 1918, in Island Pont, VT., she was the daughter of James and Alice (Duguay) Comeau. She was a graduate of Rumford High School and had been a resident of Portsmouth since 1954. Bella was employed at the former Continental Shoe company.

      The widow of Laurence Robbins Sr. and Ralph Robertson, she is survived by her children, Laurence Robbins Jr. and wife Carol of Greenland and Florida, Marlene Hudnall and husband Steve of San Antonio, Texas, and Nancy Kerrigan and husband John of Portsmouth; stepchildren Shirley Motherspaugh and husband Mike of Cornish, Maine, Suzanne Sinclair and husband John of Rochester, and Patricia Reed and husband Ken of Boulder, Colo.; brother Richard Comeau of Peru, Maine; sister Jacqueline Arsenault of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

      WE REMEMBER: She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Moose Lodge.

      SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
