Strelka, Blanche O. Blanche O. Strelka, age 84, of Kimberly, died Wednesday morning, October 19, 2005, at Brewster Village, Grand Chute. She was born May 13, 1921, to the late Henry and Elizabeth (Lawall) Baumann and was raised in Grand Chute and Appleton. Blanche married Richard Strelka on August 25, 1945. In 1955, while living in Little Chute, she contracted polio, which confined her to a wheel chair, and she then moved to Kimberly. Her loving husband cared for her until advanced Parkinson's disease necessitated his move to a nursing home. Blanche was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, in Kimberly and of the People of Praise Charismatic Christian Community.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Debra, and her grandson, Daniel of Green Bay; three brothers: Carl (Eileen) Baumann, Appleton; Ray (Virginia) Baumann, Appleton; Henry (Clara) Baumann, Appleton; two sisters: Marie Bushman, Appleton; Betty (Russell) Burns, Appleton; a brother-in-law, Emmett Decker, Appleton; four sisters-in-law: Jeanette Baumann, Appleton; Jean Baumann, Appleton; Marion Baumann, Appleton; Mary Mealey, California; and her very dear friend, Barb Oestreich, Appleton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Strelka, four brothers: Clem, Joe, Claire and Nick Baumann, a sister, Gert Decker, four brothers-in-law: Leo Strelka, Gene Weyers, Gene Bushman and Roy Bogenschutz and a sister-in-law, Leona Baumann.

The funeral liturgy for Blanche will be held at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH-KIMBERLY, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005, with Father Tom Pomeroy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may call at the church, on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.

Her family would very much like to thank all her dear friends of the People of Praise for their love and kindness to Blanche, her friend Barb, for her years of devoted companionship, and the staff of Brewster Village, for their care and attention over the year and a half she spent there. She will be missed by the many who loved her and the many she loved.
