    Kenneth E. “Kinker” Kuehl, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born on July 31, 1931 to the late Reuben and Sophia (Kroes) Kuehl.

    Kinker grew up and lived in Kaukauna for most of his life. He was employed at Thilmany’s and worked in construction at Keller in Kaukauna. He moved to Sherwood in 1967 where he farmed for 15 years. In 1983, Kinker relocated to Suring where he owned and operated Kuehl’s Red Arrow Resort before retiring in 2000. He was a member of the US Army and served his country during the Korean War. On September 3, 1955 he married the love of his life, Eunice Menting, at St. Mary’s Church in Kaukauna. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, going ice and sturgeon fishing, going to horse races, golfing, and he was a race car driver at KK Sports Arena.

    Kinker is survived by his children: Kasandra Ott of Oconto Falls, Leonard (Kathy) Menting of Pound, Kendall (special friend, Mary) Kuehl of Berlin, Karl (Ann) Kuehl of Colby, Karol (Robert) Heine of Brillion, Karlyn (Keith) Pennings of Navarino, Kory (Chastity Fischer) Kuehl of Milwaukee; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and brothers and sisters in law: Tom (Ivy) Menting, Lee (Connie) Menting, Bern (Karen) Menting, Leroy (Debbie) Menting and Leonard (Kathy) Menting.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice; daughter, Kitty; his brothers: Eugene (Pat) Kuehl and Gerald Kuehl; and brothers and sisters in law: Dan and Roger (Kay) Menting.

    A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
