- Roger G. Leanna, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2018. Roger was born on February 26,1944 in Green Bay, son of the late Gerald and Jeanette (Van Rite) Leanna. On July 18,1964 he married Barbara Vanden Langenberg at St. Phillip's Church in Green Bay. He attended East De Pere High School. He drove semi truck over the road for many years until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan of the WI Badgers, GB Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Roger was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, De Pere, involved with Curative Connections, and Pro Fitness. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards with friends and family. Rogers happy disposition and loving smile will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife Barbara, 2 children: Cheryl Vertz, Cindy (Stan) Kaiser and 2 grandchildren: Alexander and Lucas Vertz; Siblings, Mary Stein, Gloria (Ken) Wiese; Donna (Mark) Pansier, Bill (Donna) Leanna; Pat Leanna; Ken (Susie) Leanna. Barbs siblings: Roger (Nancy) Vanden Langenberg, Leo (Laverne) Vanden Langenberg, Marge (Bob) Vollmerhausen, Marc (Tom) Brolin & Carl Zimonick (brother-in-law); many nieces and nephews
Roger was proceeded in death by 2 infant children, Rodney and Craig, brother-in-law, Ronald Stein and sister-in-law Joyce Zimonick.
Friends may gather at St. Francis Xavier Church, 220 S. Michigan St, De Pere, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon, Rev. Richard Getchel will preside. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.prokowall.com.
