    • Reginald "Reggie" J. Vande Hei, 83, Town of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born September 20, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Henry and Lorraine (Champeau) Vande Hei. Reggie helped with the family farm for many years and then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.On June 22, 1963, Reggie married Sally Coppens. He worked for Pivonka Repair and in 1971 took over and started New Franken Welding. Reggie was also one of the founding volunteers of the New Franken Fire Dept. He was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed fishing, spending time at the cabin, and playing cards. He was an affluent farmer and liked his hands in the soil. Reggie had amazingly abundant fruit trees and loved growing cauliflower and gardening. He enjoyed conversing with friends and neighbors at the shop and going out to eat with them. Above all, Reggie enjoyed his time with his family.

      Reggie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sally Vande Hei, his children, Linda (Roy) Roberts, New Franken, Mike Vande Hei and Steve (Sharie) Vande Hei, Green Bay, Terry Vande Hei, Luxemburg; grandchildren, Ryan (special friend Alex) Roberts, Jesse (Heather) Roberts, Brandon (fiancé, Jen) Roberts, Josh (special friend Alexis) Vande Hei, Justin (special friend Amanda) Vande Hei, Jeremy Vande Hei, Megan and Brooke Vande Hei; great-granddaughters, Brynn and Lauren Roberts; brothers and sisters, Jean Lepak, Maryann (Dave) Dwyer, Jim (Janice) Vande Hei, Tom (Mary) Vande Hei; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (special friend Karen) Coppens, Nan (Jim) Ayers, Dave (Isabelle) Coppens, Mark (special friend Deb) Coppens, Gary (Jenny) Coppens and many nieces and nephews.

      Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in-law, Ray and Aurelia Coppens, brother-in-law, Norb Lepak and a sister-in-law, Jean Coppens.

      Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by a wake service. Visitation continues Thursday, November 2, 2017, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church-Sugar Bush, 5930, Humboldt Rd., Luxemburg, WI, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at church with Reverend Daniel Viertel officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
