      Age 81, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at Kaukauna Community Hospital after a long illness. He was born June 20, 1898, at Snyderville Wis. He was retired from Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co. and had been a member of the Thilmany Quarter Century Club and Trinity Lutheran Church of Kaukauna. He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Baum) Phillips; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Bauer and Virginia Phillips, both of Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs. Peter McGregor, Kaukauna, and Mrs. Ed Kelly, Greenville, one granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas (Susan) Hansen, Fond du Lac; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Andrew Martin officiating. A memorial fund has been established. Family will receive friends after the memorial service at the church.
