      Carl W. Bartsch

      Age 78, passed away at 8 a.m. Thursday after a short illness. He was born July 19, 1887 in Kaukauna and was a life resident. Mr. Bartsch was employed at the Haas Hardware Co. until his retirement eight years ago. He was a member of the Kaukauna Lions Club. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Mildred) Schroeder, Oshkosh; two sons, Charles, Philadelphia, Pa. and Alfred, Corvallis, Oregon; one brother, Fred, San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Miss Marie Bartsch, Evanston, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, with internment in the Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, from 2 p.m. Saturday until 1 p.m. Sunday and then at the church until time of service.
