MRS. AGNES BURKART - 1857-1933
Mrs. Agnes Burkart passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Saturday afternoon at 3:55 o'clock, following five months illness, the past month being spent at the hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, at 9 o'clock at the St. Joseph's Catholic church. Rev. Father J. L. Schumacher officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Agnes Kofler was born at Milwaukee, January 25, 1857 and on the 31st day of August, 1880, was married at Neenah, to Phillip Burkart, who died ten years ago. They lived at Neenah, Sherry and Stratford, in the latter Mrs. Burkart had lived for thirty-six years. She is survived by five sons, Joe of Soperton, Frank of Wausau, John and George of Stratford and William of West Allis, four daughters, Mrs. James McDonald of White Lake, Mrs. Henry Oettinger of Stratford, Mrs. Edmund Laessig of West Allis and Mrs. Carl Koutnik of Auburndale, also by two brothers, Peter Kofler of Waukesha and Louis Kofler of Shawano, by four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Luther and Mrs. Bernard Drews of Milwaukee, Mrs. Kate Rosellan of St. Louis, Ill., and Mrs. Arthur Langley of Elkhorn, also by 40 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
