AGED PIONEER OF KIEL PASSES AWAY SUNDAY
Kiel—T. Jochmann, aged 89, one of the pioneer settlers of this section of Wisconsin, died at the home of his son, Adolph, near Kiel, Sunday. Mr. Jochmann was born in Schleswig, Germany, on Nov. 30, 1847. He came to the United States with his parents when he was sixteen years old. The family settled on a farm near Howards Grove. On March 3, 1878, he was married to Miss Wilhelmina Heuer, and they moved to a farm near Kiel, where they lived until 1915. Then they moved to Kiel. Mrs. Jochmann died ten years ago. For the last two years, Mr. Jochmann, resided with his son, Adolph. Six children, all of whom survive, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jochmann. They are Miss Anna Jochmann, town of Rhine; Henry Jochman of Kiel; Adolph Jochmann, town of Schleswig; Edwin Jochmann, Kenosha; Mrs. John Peters and Mrs. Julius Spitzer, Kenosha. His is also survived by one brother, John Jochmann, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Boeldt, Kenosha, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday and in St. Peter's Reformed Church. The Rev. Arthur Seawert will officiate. Interment will be made in the Kiel cemetery.
