- TOWN OFFICER, AREA RESIDENT EXPIRES AT 78
NICHOLAS J ZAHRINGER, STOCKBRIDE; FORMER BOARD SUPERVISOR
Nicholas J. Zahringer, 78, of the Town of Stockbridge, Calumet County, died at 3:30 a.m. today following a two-month illness. Born Oct. 16, 1887, in the Town of Stockbridge, he was the son of Wendelin and Mary Zahringer. He married Amelia Puetz Nov. 3, 1908, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Stockbridge.
Mr. Zahringer had resided and farmed in the Town of Harrrison since 1911 and was the Town of Harrison supervisor for 33 years. A member of Sacred Heart
Church, Sherwood, he was associated with the Holy Name Society of the church and a charter member of the Catholic Order of Foresters at St. Mary's
Church.
Survivors include his widow; five sons, Leo, Walter, Roman, Clarence, and Irvin, all of Sherwood, four daughters, Miss Ann Zahringer, Sherwood, Mrs.
Alfred Hemouer, West Bend, Mrs. Art Camp[bell, Hilbert, and Mrs. Art Hemouer, Stockbridge; 33 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, William, Stockbridge.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Schinderle's Funeral Home, Stockbridge. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
