  • Notes
    • Mrs. Margaret Bartlein Lieg passed away at her home in this city early Sunday morning. She had not been in good health for the past two years, but was well enough to go to her physician's office Saturday morning.

Mrs. Lieg was born in the town of Harrison, Calumet county, February 15, 1874, and lived there until she was a young lady. On June 25, 1915, she was married to J. A. Lieg, who preceded her in death on January 6 of this year. She was an active member of the Missionary society of the Sacred Heart church and was well liked by her many friends in the city.

She leaves one brother, Andrew Bartlein, of Harrison, Calumet county, and three sisters, Mrs. L. Arno of this city, Mrs. Anne Eckrich of Menasha, and Mrs. George Wilz of the town of Menasha. There also are two step-sons, John and Bernard Lieg, and one daughter, Mildred.

Funeral services were held at the Scared Heart church Wednesday morning, the Rev. Fr. Theodore Kersten officiating at High Mass. Pallbearers were members of the Catholic Knights.
