Gossens, Norbert A. Norbert A. Gossens, age 92, of Town of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, March 8, 2006. He was born on August 13, 1913, in De Pere, son of Herman and Mary (De Cleen) Gossens. He married Anthonette Schmidt on August 20, 1973. He had also been married to Mary Koch, and together they had eight children. Norb held various positions at Kimberly-Clark Research and Development for 41 years. He was an avid fisherman, he and his son, Bob, ran a charter out of Kewaunee known as the "GG." He loved to hunt deer and small game. Norb pitched horseshoe at Kemps Bar for many years, played cards, bowled, and most recently made wonderful covered hangers for his family and friends. He was a past board member and president of the Kimberly Recreation Association (KRA) for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Toni; children: Barbara (Benotch) Gossens, her children: Norb (Linda), Guy (Carrie); Barbara (Bob) Havel, their son, Bruce (Michelle); Janet Weiss and special friend, Harold Sippel and children: Jill (Rick) Meixl, Jeff (Leah) Gloudemans, Jane (Pat) Schaefer; John (Susan) Gossens, their children: Scott, Amy (Rev. Paul) Rydecki, Mary (James) Block, Stephanie (Scott) Rademacher, Mark; Dave (Vicky) Gossens, their children: Caleb, Drew, Whitney; Tim (Sandy) Gossens, their children: Josh (Natalie), Andy (Alison); Gwen (Dan) Pociask, their children: Ryan (Michelle), Sam; Don Gossens (special friend Kathy), his children: Benjamin and Renae. He is also survived by his step children: Bob (Jackie) Schmidt, their children: Matthew, Jesse, Nicole; Kim (Dave) Jacob, their children: Christopher, Michael, Jason, Cheri, Nicole, Cody, Jennifer, Stephanie and Ryan; 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Gossens; an infant son, Richard; grandsons: Jon Gloudemans, Gere Gossens, and Brian Havel; a son-in-law, Ray Weiss; three brothers: Ole and wife Katherine, Joe and wife Marie, Rene and wife Norma; three sisters: Sister Fidelis, Sister Illumina, and Ceal Brooks and husband Frank. Funeral services for Norb will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 11 a.m., at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah, with Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Friends may call at Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah on Friday, (TODAY) March 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.; and again on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
