Joyce (Wiegers) Wieck, 86, of Marinette, WI, passed away quietly at Bay Area Medical Center in the company of her family on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
Joyce was married to Edward Strass and together had twin boys, Michael and John.
After her divorce, she married Francis Toots Peterson who passed away in 1965.
She then married Gordon Wieck.
A very social person, she loved to talk and had many good friends and care providers. Joyce loved to crochet, swim at the YMCA with her many friends and volunteered as a member of the hospital auxiliary at BAMC. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and prayed the Rosary every day.
Joyce is survived by a son, Michael (Joan) Strass of Stiles, Wis.; step-sons: Dean (Shelby) Wieck of Browntown, Va. and Brad (Ann) Wieck of Ashtabula, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; son, John Strass; and siblings: Betty Zoellner, William Wiegers, Francis Wart Wiegers, Adrian Abe Wiegers and Audrey Grabowski.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Taylor St., by the Reverend Celestine Byekwaso.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
