- 11 May 1999 Kaukauna Times obituary: Ervin H "Mitch" Mischler, Parkside Care Center, Little Chute
At age 64 has gone to a haven of comfort & rest. Where no pain or worries will follow him, his travels with God will be blest. He was born October 3, 1934, the son of the late Louis J & Irene (Spice) Mischler. He honorably served in the U.S.Army from April 1955 to January 1957. He was a past member of the Stockbridge Fire Dept & Stockbridge American Legion Post 128. He was employed by a Plumbing/Heating Company until his work disability in 1968. After his reabilitation, he owned & operated Mitch's Sales & Service, repairing small engines for a number of years. He was the father of Kathleen (Jerome) Eichmeier of Hilbert, & Kay (Rick) Hardrath of Stockbridge; grandfather of Tasha Eichmeier & Brenda & Kimberly Hardrath. He is survived by 4 brothers, Robert (Irene) Mischler, Kaukauna; Bernard (Betty) Mischler, Combined Locks; Ronald Mischler, Oshkosh; Louis (Ellen) Mischler, Little chute; 2 sisters Carol Thiel, Combined Locks, & Marilyn (Donald) Kavanough, Appleton; 1 brother-in-law Joseph Coppus, Kaukauna; 2 sister-in-laws Delores Mischler, Kaukauna & Joyce (Mischler) Bookinger, Kaukauna; 1 step-brother Paul (Catherine) Reichel, Madison. He was preceded in death by his step-mother Agnes (Reichel) Mischler, a brother Peter Mischler; a sister Helen Coppus; & a brother-in-law Roger Thiel. The funeral service was Friday May 7th at 5PM at St John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Burial was in St Mary's Cemetery, Kaukauna.
