    • Richard (Dick) Koltz, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at home May 5, 2015.

Dick was born May 29, 1940 to the late John and Gertrude (Hockers) Koltz, in the family farmhouse in De Pere, WI. Dick was a graduate of De Pere High School. He married Rita (Kersten) Koltz on May 18, 1963. Dick moved furniture for 7 years, then drove semi for Brillion Iron Works for 32 years, earning him almost 4 million safe driver miles and bringing him to 49 of the 50 states. Dick and his wife, Rita, along with their children started the family hayride business the "Rock K Ranch" that's been in operation for over 50 years. Later in life, Dick started Always Available Seating, a successful, portable bleacher business.

He was a very active member of St Clare Catholic Parish - Greenleaf and a member of the Wayside Rough Riders Saddle Club for over 50 years. Dick played a major role in bringing the Brown County Fair back to its family friendly roots. Other groups and activities Dick held very near and dear include organizing the Sesquicentennial Wagon Train and numerous other wagon trains, History on the Move, the Rail Trail, Christmas in the Barn, NEW Patriots, Farm Technology Days, Frontier Farmers, FFA, and 4-H. For numerous years, Dick brought 6 and 8 horse hitches to the Milwaukee Circus Parade and provided horse drawn rides at Heritage Hill State Park.

Together Dick and Rita had 11 children: John (Tracey Collins), Gary (Elaina Rideout), Lisa (Conrad) Liebergen, Susan (Steve) Klister, Cindy (Steve) Cohen, Geoffrey (Michelle Lemke), Matthew, Rosanne (Joe) Delsman, Quincy (Terri Ament), Natalie, and Kayla (Joshua) Treml. They also had 14 grandsons and 14 granddaughters, with a tie breaker due in August and 5 great grandchildren. Dick is survived by one sister, Marian (Tom) Kiley and numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by 3 brothers (George, Frank, and James) and 2 sisters (Judy McDermid and Dorothy Kiley).

Friends may call on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Clare's Catholic Church-St. Mary's site, 2218 Day Street, Greenleaf. Dick lived his life with a big heart and patient demeanor. He has touched many lives and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community. We'll always remember Dad's favorite line - "Have you been HUGGED today?"

Special thanks go out to the first responders, county rescue, and the staff at St. Vincent Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in honor of Dick.
