    Theresa Mae Van Deraa age 89, of Kaukauna, passed peacefully on July 18, 2023. She was born November 20, 1933, in Appleton, daughter of the late Rubin and Angeline (Fischer) LaPlant. She was married to Donald Van Deraa who preceded her in death in February 14, 1983. Theresa will be remembered as a loving and hardworking wife and mother. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and bowling with the girls.



    Survivors include her children: Rose (Tom), Thomas (Lisa), Ronald (Carla), Mary (Kenny), Brenda, Steven, Darlene (Jesse), Tammy, and Leon (Shelly). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Michael, grandchildren Brooke and Cara, and a, great grandchild Luca and siblings Shirley (Frank), Harold, Ikey and Bobby.



    The funeral liturgy for Theresa will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna. Father Ben Pribbenow will officiate, and burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
