    • Mrs. Eliza Preston died Sat am at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Peep, at the age of 92 years. She had been in good health until a few weeks ago when she suffered a stroke & then declined rapidly. The funeral was held from the Congregational Church Tues afternoon. The Rev N.W. Conkkle conducting the services. Eliza Brooker was born in Sussex, England in 1832 & came to America when she was nine years old. She lived with her parents in Quebec Canada until she married Isaac Preston and settled on a farm near DePere Wis. in 1869. Then moved to a farm near Shiocton and when that farm was sold, they moved into a tenant house on their son Theodore`s farm. When her husband died in 1912 she moved in with her daughter Mrs. Tom Peep. "She leaves one sister Mrs. Caroline (James) Withers of Wis Rapids, Wis., two brothers, Thomas Brooker of Suring, Wis & Isaac Brooker of Plover. "Those attending from out of town were A.P. Preston, Okmulgee Oklahoma, T.W. Preston, Independence Kansas, Mrs. A. Counard (Permealia Withers Barney) and Mrs. Jas. Withers.
