    • Appleton-Norman H. Abitz, 45, 1500 E. Frances St., Appleton, died unexpectedly at 7pm Friday. Born June 8, 1918, in Appleton, he was a life resident of the city. He was Vice President of personnel relations at the Riverside Paper Corp. and a member of the Wisconsin Traffic Club, the Quarter Century Club, St. Paul Lutheran church, Appleton, and the Men's Club of the church. He was active in church work and Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Survivors are his wife, Bernice; one daughter, Kathleen, at home; two sons, James, at home, and John, Appleton; four brothers, Roland, Lester and Wilbert, all of Appleton; and Gerald, Dykesville, WI.; and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Boldt and Mrs. Harry Buss, both of Appleton; and Mrs. Joseph Bunda. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday at St. Paul Lutheran church, with the Rev. F. M. Brandt officiating. Internment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, from 2pm Sunday until 9:30am Monday and then at the church from 10am until the hour of service.
