- Patricia Ann "Pat" VanErmen, 77, Green Bay, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, with her family by her side. She was born April 10, 1933, in Green Bay, to James and Olive (Carter) Gleason. Pat attended Green Bay West High School. She was a member of St. Willebrord Parish. For five years, Pat was a crossing guard near John F. Kennedy School. Pat loved to make ceramics, painting, and raising African Violets in her home. She also loved her pets, camping, fishing, and professional wrestling.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Linda Smith Lange, Daniel and Lisa Smith, Ronald Smith, all of Green Bay; Julie (Smith) and Michael Hert, Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Christian and Tami Hert, Shannon Hert, Michael and Amy Lange, Nick Smith, Zach Smith; one great-granddaughter, Katrina Hert; cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Keith "Chub" VanErmen; and her parents.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken DeGroot, O. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Patricia's name.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Aurora BayCare, especially Nurse Sarah in the 3rd Floor ICU for her compassion.
