- Jean T. Verrett, 78, Neenah, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born October 30, 1934, in Appleton, daughter of Theodore William and Clara Margaret (Wolf) Albrecht. Jean was united in marriage to George Francis Verrett on April 25, 1959, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Appleton. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1976. She loved doing crafts like needle point and plastic canvas, cooking, bird watching, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah.
Jean is survived by her five children: Jon (Terri) Verrett, Paula Verrett, Kelly (Lewis) Kumbier, Jim (Jill) Verrett, and David (Star) Verrett; eight grandchildren: Lori (Jeremy), Sonia, Jerry, William (Kimberly), George, Mathew, Adam, and Miranda; four grandchildren; a brother: Bob (Margie) Albrecht; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was further preceded in death by a brother: Theodore "Bud" (Bernice) Albrecht; and a sister: Margaret (Clifford) Polakowski.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Jean's name.
Jean's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff in the ICU at Appleton Medical Center, ThedaCare at Home Hospice, the Compassionate Home Health caregivers, and all of her doctors for all of their wonderful care.
