    • Darrin G. Weber, 46, of Stockbridge, died on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at St. Paul Hospice Home in Kaukauna.
He was born March 20, 1970, in Fort Atkinson, son of Wanda (Powell) Weber and the late Frank Weber.
He was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma in August of 2015 and fought it into remission with an immunotherapy after attempts of several different types of chemo. While in remission, in November 2016 Darrin began a new battle fighting infections; a fight which he couldn’t win.
Darrin was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge and had been working for Graphic Packaging in Menasha.
With an outgoing personality, Darrin was a man who loved to be around people to share in conversation, joke-telling and fun. He loved to showcase his cooking skills, especially when he would make up a dish from the latest fish, fowl or wild game he had bagged while hunting.
Darrin enjoyed sports, especially cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. He enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter for the Fort Atkinson Fire Department when he was living in Fort. He also spent many enjoyable hours playing hockey at Haumerson’s Pond.
Above all of the blessings Darrin enjoyed in life, his greatest joy was that of his family. Nothing brought him more joy than to spend the day with those he loved outdoors, working in the woods, building things and being an overall handy man. One of Darrin’s life goals was to hand down his love of the outdoors and hunting to his children as they grew older. He certainly will be missed by all those who loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Lori; his children, Jaiden and Hunter Weber; his in-laws, Jim and Diane Zahringer; a sister, Mary Weber; two brothers, Doug Weber and Marty (Lisa) Weber; a sister-in-law, Jody Zahringer; a brother-in-law, Nick (Ashley) Zahringer; and his nieces and nephews, Kryistyna (Keith) Hook, Jason, Josh and Dusty Weber, Leah, Chloe and Taylor Zahringer.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Derrick Weber; and a brother-in-law, Michael Zahringer.
Funeral service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Michael Betley officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 1 until 6 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of Darrin G. Weber. Online condolences may be left at: wietingfuneralhome.com.
The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Goggins and the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology for their effort and support through this difficult journey. Also, a huge thank you to St. Paul’s Hospice and the incredible staff, their attention to detail, and overall support to family and friends during Darrin’s stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to keep him comfortable for his end-of-life journey.
