| Photos | ![]() | Linda Rose (Rooyakkers) Schneider | March 3, 1953 ~ September 24, 2024 With profound sadness we announce the passing of Linda (Rooyakkers) Schneider, our loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, on September 24, 2024. She left us peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, finally escaping the burdens of Dementia with Lewy Body and Renal Cell Cancer. Born to Audrey and George “Yutz” Rooyakkers on March 3, 1953, in Kimberly, Wisconsin, she was the oldest of six children. She graduated from Kaukauna High School, where she met the love of her life, Warren. They began their 53 year marriage on October 29, 1971. To be in the presence of Warren and Linda was to know true love. Linda was a devout Catholic and selfless servant, but what brought her the most pride and joy was her family. She was the best stay-at-home Mom, volunteering at her children’s school and their church, as well as various charities in the area. Warren and Linda welcomed three children who all married and gave them seven beloved grandchildren. Linda sang countless lullabies to her Grand”babies”, and attended as many sporting events, plays, performances, and concerts as possible. She and Warren spoiled the family with “Camp Nana Papa” at their home in Wisconsin, trips to Disney World, Pensacola, Wisconsin Dells, the Caribbean, and time together at their “Far Away House” in Arizona. Linda made memories on long walks with friends, a game of golf, rides in her convertible, and singing around campfires. Those who knew her best heard her singing or humming continuously. Any day, any time, was a day to celebrate family and friends. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis, nephew Bret Rooyakkers, Mother and Father-in-law Ann and Francis (Frank) Schneider, and brother-in-law James (Jim) Schneider. She is survived by her husband Warren, son Brian (Darica) and grandchildren Audrey and Christopher; daughter Jill (Michael) Bestul and granddaughters Evelin and Isabelle; and daughter Kay (Jim) Woelfel and grandchildren Sydney, Reese, and Graham. She is further survived by her siblings: Sue (Dennis) Rooyakkers, Paul (Tammi), Diane (Bud) Gadow, Al (Julie), and Joe, and her in-laws: Kathy (Jim) Schneider, Faye (Tom) Goff, Jerry (Lorrie), Lynda (Jim Schlender) Schneider, Roy (Mary), and DJ (Brenda), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service for Linda will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, N369 Military Rd, Sherwood, with Fr. Mike Betley officiating. |
