Richard A. Jansen, 710 Monroe St. Little Chute passed away January 30, 1999 surrounded by the love of his family. Richard was born February 14, 1921, son of the late Albert J. and Ann (Wydeven) Jansen. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Grace (Hopfensperger) Jansen; his son, Steven R. Jansen, Little Chute; six daughters; Nancy (Bruce) Vanevenhoven, Combined Locks; Katie (Marty) Marasch, Little Chute; Linda (Jimmie) Gibson, Char (Jim) Bricco, both of Appleton; Cindy (Mark) Verhagen and Julie (Bruce) Verhagen, also of Little Chute; 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, with another expected soon, all of whom he loved and enjoyed immensely. He is further survived by a sister, Shirley Lamers, Little Chute; a brother, Glen Jansen, Kimberly; a sister in-law, Mildred Jansen, Little Chute; many cousins, Neice, nephews, and special friends.
Dick enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing cards and going to the Canino before his health failed him. He had been employed by Rector Moters of Appleton for many years and later worked for and retired from J J Plank Corp. in 1985. He served his country as a member of the Army in World War II from 1942 thru 1945 and was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 for 54 years.
Waiting in heaven with outstretched arms are his parents, his mother and father in-law; Herman and Ella Hopfensperger; a sister, Ruth Hinton; a brother, Robert Jansen; sister in-law, Eva Jansen and brother in-law, Sylvan Lamers.
