      Age 62 died early Sunday. He was born April 24, 1918 in Herd, Kentucky. He had been employed by George Walter Brewing Company & the Institute of Paper Chemistry. Mr Akeman resided in the Kaukauna area for the past 30 years. He was a member of Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 at Little Chute. Mr Akeman was a WW2 Army veteran. survivors include his wife Josephine; a step-daughter Mrs Roland (Bonnie) Wallace, DePere; 2 step-sons, Dennis Van Grinsven, Brothertown; Victor Van Grinsven, Chilton; a sister Mrs Bud (Dorothy) Wert, Hamilton, OH; 11 grandchildren, a great-grandson, nieces & nephews. The complete funeral will be at 11 AM Tuesday at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Kaukauna. Internment will be in Holy Cross cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 PM Monday & after 8 AM Tuesday until the time of service.
