    • Annacile died on January 23, 2011, at St Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. She was born on December 1, 1921, in Little Chute, WI, daughter of the late William and Cornelia (DeBruin) Kobussen. She married Henry Gajewski on April 25, 1942, in St. John's Church, Little Chute. They resided in Menasha, Wisconsin, from 1942 to 2006, when they moved to Stevens Point, WI, to be closer to family. While living in Menasha, she attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary and Sacred Heart Societies. She was also a charter member of the Home School Association. After moving to Stevens Point, she attended Celebration Church. From 1964 to 1966, she taught Physical Education at St. John's Elementary School and from 1966 to 1968 she worked for the Northwestern Daily Journal covering societal and school news events. She was very active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, serving as a leader for many years. In her young adult life, she took multiple courses at the technical schools and was very involved with exercise classes and walking for fitness. She was an accomplished seamstress and sewed for family and friends. Annacile loved to read, cook, bowl and go fishing. She was a sports enthusiast and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. She loved to visit with family and friends and would drop almost anything for the opportunity to sit and chat. Her life revolved around her love for family.
      Survivors include her husband, Henry; two daughters: Kristine Miller, Scottsdale, AZ, and Katie (Gene) Kohn, Stevens Point, WI; a foster son, Joe Kiesow, Appleton, WI; grandchildren: Lisa Miller, Boca Raton, FL, Angela Slate (William), Santa Monica, CA, Jennifer Hoppe (David), Madison, WI, Ryan Kohn (Tawnya Schilt), Stevens Point, WI, Jaclyn and Julianne (Gajewski) Kobasic, Phoenix, AZ; and a step-grandson, Brandon Roth, Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren: Samantha and Molly Hoppe. She is also survived by a sister, Lucina Wydeven, Kimberly, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
      Preceding her in death were her son, Stephen; her parents, her brothers: Albert (Koby) and Robert (Whitey) Kobussen; two sisters: Gladys Tennessen and Eileen Tennessen.
      Funeral services for Annacile will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha, WI. Visitation will occur at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of Mass.
      On Annacile's behalf, her family expresses deep and heartfelt appreciation to Community Care of Central Wisconsin for providing an immeasurable quality of care, love and concern over the past 4 years. Their presence in Annacile's life changed everything. The family also extends deep gratitude and thankfulness to the staff at Sylvan Crossing Memory Care for providing the most excellent care to Annacile during the last 4 months of her life. Their ability to love and to dedicate themselves to caring for those who cannot care for themselves will always be remembered.
