    • Robert Edward Gardner of Freedom died at 6:45 Friday morning at the home of Mrs. Katherine Leith, 1108 W. Eight St. He was 59 years old. He is survived by his widow, seven children, Mrs. Walter Schwamner, Birnamwood; Mrs. Ralph Gehring, Knowlton; Raymond Gardner, Wausau; Elmer Gardner, Sun Prairie; Chester, Lee and Mylan Gardner, Freedom. His aged mother at Freedom, one brother Matt Gardner of Portland, Ore., and three sisters, Mrs. William Schafer of Rhinelander; Mrs. Pierce Felton of Portland, Ore; and Mrs. Dora Hager of Appleton; and seven grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the home in Freedom. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
