    • Cora M Ulmen, of Kimberly, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St. Paul Elder Hospice Services. Cora was born January 25, 1925, at home in Bear Creek, WI, daughter of the late George and Cecilia (Vandenberg) Rooyakkers. Cora was united in marriage with Carlton Ulmen at Holy Name Church in Kimberly on September 7, 1946. Carlton preceded Cora in death on October 22, 1996.

      Cora was a charter member of St. Bernadette's Church in Appleton and a member of the Rosary Society. Cora waitressed, worked as "Rosie the Riveter", and was employed at the Wire Works prior to her marriage to Carlton. Cora enjoyed being a Cub Scout Den Mother, her TOPS weight club, her prayer circle, bicycling, walking, traveling with family, reading, playing cards, saying the rosary, and she especially enjoyed entertaining and visiting family and many friends.

      Survivors include her children: Jeffrey (Paula) Ulmen, Darboy, David (Christine) Ulmen, New Berlin, George (Barbara) Ulmen, Combined Locks, Rosemarie Coleman, Green Bay, Kathy Zink (Appleton), Susan (Steven) Reuter, Menasha, Luann Ulmen, Appleton, and Chuck (Kelly) Ulmen, Neenah; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Theresa Bongers and Ceil (Ray) McCormick; one brother, Leo Rooyakkers (special friend Kathy Bates); seven sisters-in-law: Lucille Endter, Alice Smith, Helen Rooyakkers, Ethyl (Maury) Brockman, Audrey Rooyakkers, Mary Kay Rooyakkers, and Mary Jo Rooyakkers; and her many friends, old and new.

      She was preceded in death by seven brothers: Peter, Henry (Joann), Tony, Paul, George, Francis, and Everett (Marge); two sisters, Mary (Dick) VanLanen and Bernadette Rooyakkers; four brothers-in-law, Floyd Ulmen, Howard Endter, Ray Bongers, and Herbert "Red" Smith; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Lawrence) Kugler and Evelyn Westgor; and one son-in-law, Keith Coleman.

      The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH (2331 E. Lourdes St.) at 1:30 PM with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the church.

      The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care provided by Dr. Caroline Blanc and her team; Dr. Misty Johnson, Dr. Christopher Wagner and the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital; Sister Lois Ann, Sister Delores, and the staff at St. Paul Elder Services; and Paul Halbach and the Hospice team at St. Paul Elder Services.
